*What are the best, 'exotic' names for a girl?*?

I mean 'exotic' being in the best possible way.. enchanting and beautiful, not trashy and unpronounceable! I know alot of names that fall into this category can be, so I'm looking for the opposite which has some class? Any suggestions would be fantastic.

*What are the best, 'exotic' names for a girl?*?
Jaquelyn - I've always thought that this name was pretty, exotic, and a very classic feminine name...

Anastasia - Same as above (helps that I think of a princess when I hear this name!) Same with Esmeralda and Jasmine...

For a boy, I think that Alphonzo is pretty exotic and rare, yet masculine and classic... Also Beau and Beaumont...

HTH :-)

What are some unique, exotic names for a story based on the future?

My story takes place in the future, and I need unusual, exotic, unique, etc names. Names that aren't used often (or at all). =) I already have a few for the main characters, such as Layla, Skye, Ozeria, Pavi, and Soren. I need exotic names for the minor characters.

What are some unique, exotic names for a story based on the future?
Well i'm Indian, so i guess names like mine are pretty exotic lol, here's some girl indian names:

Sudipta (my name, it means bright, pronounced sue-deep-tuh)

Sharmila (my sister's name, i love it, it means good luck, pronounced shar-meela, like mila kunis)

Amisha- pronounced Ah-meesha

Sonia- pronounced So-nee-yuh

Shivani (my mom's name, pronounced she-vaughn-ee)

Priyanka -pronounced Pree-awn-ka

Henna-(means mehendi, a pretty pattern, pronounced hen-nuh)

Priya -means beloved pronounced pree-uh
Reply:I am also writing a science fiction novel, i chose to take the same approach as Isaac asimov and gene roddenberry, so all my names mean something.

one of my main characters is called Vici (from the latin, i came, i saw i conquered, or Veni Vidi Vici... she is the conqueror) another is analytical, so i called him Doyle (after Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes)

I have tried to be obscure with my names, but also leave little clues in for the reader because when i read Asimov, i love to finish a book and think for a while, then I realise that a characters name gave away the plot from the first chapter, but I didn't realise till I finished reading the book
Reply:Create your own, combine names to create something unique. Be creative, just write down some of your favourite names, play around with them a little, and I am sure you will find a reall cool exotic name.
