People do make judgments on names. When a new student arrives with a name with a two apostrophes and a hyphen, we cringe because we realize the effects that this will have on them in the future.

Are these names too common or too exotic?

Or too uptight? I just can't tell. I like them both, but I want to see how others feel about them. It's for twins, Presley and Walker. What do you think?

Are these names too common or too exotic?
I like them, but are a little common; however, it doesn't matter because it's your choice. Here are some alternatives:

Walker and Wade

Presley and Pierce or Porter

Gunnar and Garrison

Maverick and Madden

Good luck.
Reply:For boys they are fine for girls no
Reply:I don't really care for them..I don't know why, I just don't like them.
Reply:I don't like either of them, but that's just my opinion. I like names that are somewhat different. But, if you like them then go for it.
Reply:I like them but I think of them as last names or dog names.
Reply:Sounds like you like Elvis and A Texas Ranger
Reply:They are just fine, don't worry. I have a twin sister and her name is Anastasia so yeah try figuring Threasa and Anastasia.

Also look (if you religious) into saints or people of your religion that had significants.

Looks in history, I know one of my friends named his son after some roman emperor (that name is hard to say).
Reply:very cute. they are perfect.
Reply:I like them! Best wishes and Congrats on your new bundles of joy!
Reply:I think they are more common today....a fad though.
Reply:I sort of like them. "Walker" sounds like a dude from Star Wars, though. Presley is sort of common as a surname.

I and, to a lesser extent, my girlfriend like very extremely unusual names.

For example:

Boy names:

1. Horus

2. Grave

3. Orion

4. Judecca

Girl names:

1. Hadassah

2. Wisdom

3. Winter

4. Shadow
Reply:I like both Presley and Walker. They are both last names of people I know, but they do sound like good first names.
Reply:Honestly they are both last names, and they sound kinda oldie ish.
Reply:Personally, I don't like them, but then again, I don't have to. If you like them, go with them.
Reply:I travel a lot and i haven't met many people with those names. I think that they are so cute and would make perfect names for twins. I was actually thinking of using Presley for a name for one of my children. I think that they are great names, definitely not too common and i don't think that they are exotic.
Reply:What I think is that they go together and that is what really counts.
Reply:Ooohh..i think the names are just too sweet =D

But i'm not extremely fond of the name Walker..the one who walks? plz..

How about Presley %26amp; Langdon? =D
Reply:i dislike them both
Reply:If I was a boy I would hate being Presley. Walker is okay.
Reply:I like Presley, but I think Walker is a bit of a posh / stuck-up name

Sorry.

How about Presley and Peyton?
Reply:they are fine, but a bit common. i no two people named presley and two named walker lol. I like the name walker anyways though, presley is not my fave.

Reply: Here are a few - There is a great website that can direct you to the meaning of each name, as well as help saldify why you want to pick and exotic name! http://www.babynames.org.uk/exotic-baby-...

If this does not work for you try this option:

Start with the most popular names being given to baby boys. Visit the Social Security Administration’s website (click on the link at the bottom of this page to go to the direct link to the SSA baby names search). See which names that are popular are also unusual baby boy names. You can view the most popular names for the past year, boy names given since the year 2000 or by decade in the previous century. It may surprise you how many exotic and unique baby names you can find this way.

Exotic or uncommon names for a baby boy.?

My sister in law is having a boy and I am eager to have him here already, anywho, i want to be the one to name him. I already tried Nathan but her significant other didn't approve. Help please!!!

Exotic or uncommon names for a baby boy.?
But give the baby a common middle name. So that they can choose to use a normal name in adult hood to find jobs, etc. America is racists, lets face it. I saw a study where sociologist sent duplicate resumes out to companies with "ethnic", ie black sounding names, (Jerome, Latisha, Ebony, etc") and then with a ,"white ," sounding name (Amanda, John, etc.) and they recorded the amount of call backs each one got and the "white," names got more. Its just a word of advice.
