Why do black people have exotic names?
Sean is an irish name not at all exotic lol!!Its is considered to be the Irish for John..also David exotic??That is funny also, Evan sounds Welsh..As for the others i guess its just the cultures, a lot of American names sound funny to us here in Ireland and im sure some of ours would to you also!!
Reply:Some of it is cultural, some of it is taking names they consider to be "white" and putting a spin on it. For example, adding De' or La' Or Sha to the beginning of common names. Its not any different than all these wierd names people of other cultures name their kids. And at least the kid isn't named after a city, state, food, or country!
Reply:Because they feel the need to stand out and have something other races don't have. Most times it can't be wealth or acceptance. Exotic black names is a start. Personnally I'm fed up of hearing the name Sheniqua. I like some of the genuine african names.
Reply:it is an active effort to differentiate themselves from white folk.

at rea, the person below me

Gwenyth Paltrow is a welsh name. its a bit of a holdover from early english language.
Reply:that's very offensive. not just black people have exotic. to me its a little bit cruel to say that only black people have exotic names.
Reply:I didn't know David was an exotic name.. But as for the other names, I guess they have beautiful meanings in their culture..
Reply:its not just black ppl jumping on the strange name wagon!!!!!

what about white ppl too and other origins as well.

example- gwyenth paltrow -moses and apple

kate Hudson-ryder

so ya see its not just BLACK PEOPLE
Reply:David, Bree, Sean %26amp; Monique arent.

But the others are ghetto.

What about La'Fonda? hahaha
Reply:it's not just black people.......all races have unique names......this is a dumb, ignorant question.
Reply:Its their origin. They mean different things like from nature and emotions!
Reply:david? LOL
Reply:african heritage maybe?
Reply:THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW.
Reply:Ask Will Smith.
