How did blacks come up with all those exotic sounding names? Did they just make them up?

Reply:uhm you should refer to them as "black" i'm not saying its a racist name, but it can be and i'm offended when people of a different race refer to me as a white person, but i hate all of those names. like laquish, latasha, jameika, lol get it, they annoy me i am always like why cant you be names amy or lilly. i love those two names, and if i have a girl im naming her lilly!! i named my stuffed rabbit Lilly! laughoutloud

I like black people but always laugh when I hear those names, not out of disrespect, I just find them funny.





I think it's just because black people are so creative. They are a very individualistic and creative lot of people really. Just look at all the music we have.. Rock music came from blues music which came from African hymms. Jazz came from blacks as well... Rap came from blacks.. Even country music which is thought of as like redneck white music uses the banjo which originated in Africa.





My point is they're just really creative, and those kind of names prove that.





EDIT: NAmes like John have origins from other languages, the Bible, and before that earlier origins. But names like Laquisha are just completely made up. Truth.
