there is a series of books by Laurell K. Hamilton that feature a character called Anita Blake. The first one is titled "Guilty Pleasures." The lead male vampire in those books was called Jean Claude. Other vampires were called Alejandro and Sabin.

To write a unique book that's a cut above the rest, avoid cliches like silver bullets, full moons that change a man to a werewolf, and blood-sucking vampires. Find a new avenue that hasn't yet been explored.
