Thinking of naming child exotic name? What do you think of it?

I'm thinking of naming my child Optimus Prime. I know it's a strange name from that movie but I find it will be a good, exotic name. Do you think my child having a name like Optimus Prime affect his social life?

Then he'd be right at home with Pilot Inspektor, Scout, Rumer, Moxie Crimefighter, Moon Unit, Prince Michael (a.k.a. "Blanket"), and all those other celebrity kids with odd names!
Reply:I really hope that you are kidding....but I do think that sometimes pregnancy hormones make people have some very strange ideas! LOL. But anyway....in case you are serious... please don't do that to your precious baby!! That would DEFINITELY affect his social life, and not in a good way! The poor kid would get teased constantly... not ONLY because that is the name of a character (and it's the bad guy, isn't it??? Not that it really matters..but that does make it worse!) from Transformers, but also because it's just so bizarre and off-the-wall. I don't think it sounds exotic at all. It just sounds like a nerdy Transformers fan named him! Exotic would be like Jasper or Sage....not "Optimus Prime".





I don't know if you are serious or not, but if you are...I hope that I've convinced you to keep looking for a better name!! Good luck!

Name your kid Optimus Prime and when they grow up to hate you for it and change their name, anyway, who cares, right? It's not like you're going to hang around long enough to deal with it anyway...you know, just based on your nick. I'm drawing conclusions here, and it's turning out to be more like a kindergarten connect the dots.
