Exotic Names!!! Do u like?

o. k...I hate plain and boring names like mary and kate sooo I want somthing exitoc...what do u thing of...





For Girls:


Luna Elizabeth (Elizabeth is my moms name)





Naveah Alicia (Naveah is heaven spelled backwards)





and Layla Astrid








And for Boys I like:





Logan Xavier (Xavier is my daad's name soo....)





Caleb Stanley (Stanley is My grandpa's name)





and Samuel Christopher








Gimmie any advice you have...what to change order of names..how to spell anything..i dont wanna tramatize my kids! Oh and if you have any cool exotic names...tell me! (PLease)

Exotic Names!!! Do u like?
Personally, I despise the name Nevaeh. I went to church with 4 different women who all named their daughter's Nevaeh. It's becoming an increasingly popular name (not exotic at all) and I can't help but think that the parents of these children are trying to make some kind of statement. (Like that they put on airs of being holy, but are far from living the lifestyle)





As for Luna Elizabeth I absolutely love it. Luna is a pretty name that is normally overlooked. I also like the name Layla, but for some reason keep getting turned off by the middle name of Astrid.





I like the first 2 boy names you put down. Logan is my hubby's name, so I'm a little biased, but I also love names that are spelled with an "X". My son's name is Byron Xane. Caleb Stanley just sounds nice.





As for Samuel Christopher, this is far from exotic. I can't even count all of the Christopher's I know. I gradutated with a total of 17 of them! At one point I had 5 of them in one class and it was impossible to keep them straight. If one person said "Hey Chris" they would all turn around and say "what?" Samuel is also pretty common. You'll see it used alot by people who look for biblical names.

The boys names aren't very "exotic" but they don't sound...bad.

Naveah is SOOOOO tacky and trendy! Ugh. It's not even heaven backwards, anyways. That's Nevaeh. All of those backwards names are horrible.





Layla is my name! I love it. Astrid doesn't really go with it, though. May I suggest my own, "exotic" middle name - Zahra? An alternate spelling is Zara.





Logan is nice, but it's definitely not exotic. Ditto for Caleb and Samuel.
Reply:I really like Luna! I named my first boy plain and simple Jake my second boy we named Maquinn (we kinda just made it up). I find that people either really really like the different name or really dislike it, Dont listen to the negative comments, people dont like the different names because they are different! I like all your names, pick your favorite!
Reply:I was expecting horrors when I opened the thread, but it's not so bad at all. Apart from "Naveah", which is indeed nothing, not even heaven spelled backwards.


Luna to me is a good pets name, because my dog is called that. But I suppose it is a name that a woman can live with. Luna Elisabeth is quite a nice combo! Alicia is nice also.


Layla Astrid doesn't really flow well, although both are nice names. What about:

The boy's names are all quite good, my favourite would be Samuel Christopher.

Ok so Luna Elizabeth is not exotic enough for me, don't really like it. Naveah Alicia-Alicia is common, but the Naveah just drowns it out in a surge of strong letters. Layla Astrid is the best by far, but I WANT IT! I love the name Layla.


Logan Xavier-Logan is too ordinary. Xavier is amazing. Caleb Stanley is ok....not crazy about it, and Samuel Christopher....i don't like Samuel but Christopher is a nice, classic, strong name.

Layla, is becoming way to common now, so go for something like layla, but not layla, like Lilaeh (lil-ay-uh) Laylin, Laudia (law-dee-uh)

Layla Astrid- love Leila(Spelled Leila, not Layla), but hate Astrid. Astrid is an old lady name.





Logan Xavier- like Logan and Xavier, and they go well together.





Caleb Stanley- love Caleb, hate Stanley. Stanley reminds me of South Park and sounds like an older man's name.





Samuel Christopher- Love both names, just not together unless you reverse them. Christopher Samuel sounds better than Samuel Christopher.

Reply:To start, most, if not all of these names, are far from exotic. Luna and Astrid are probably the most "exotic" names on the list. The rest of the names are quite common, especially Elizabeth, Logan, Caleb, Samuel, and Christopher.





Layla is a decent name as is Caleb. Naveah, however, is awful. Not only is it incredibly tacky but it is also unfortunately becoming trendy.

I wouldn't really call your names exotic. Naveah is pretty trendy at the moment. Layla, Logan, Caleb and Samuel are extremely popular, most, if not all of these are in the top 20 most used names. Luna is the only one that isn't the popular but is slowly catching on.
