Reply:I'm pretty much retarded when it comes to birds, but my roommate's mother has a gorgeous African Grey by the name of Kuka.

I think its adorable.
Reply:HaHa maybe :Piki or Piccolo, = )
Reply:Don't cockatoos come from Australia? Have you looked up anything about Aboriginal culture, religion, etc.? You might find some pretty nifty words that you like. Or look up info on any ancient/exotic culture that interests you. Or if you're into Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings," check out the appendix in his "Silmarillion." Lots of great elvish names there that sound both familiar and exotic.

Now, I'm more of a wild bird person than a parrot person, but I've found the community at BirdBoard.com to be pretty helpful on all parrot topics. I'm not a secret promotion person or anything, but lots of members there have large parrots and I'm sure they'd be happy to give you some ideas, tips, etc.

Whatever name you end up picking, I hope you enjoy your new baby.
