Why do African Americans have such exotic names?

Examples: Tarvaris, LaDanian, Roshequa.......If you think I'm a hater for asking , you are wrong. Just curious, God Bless!!

Why do African Americans have such exotic names?
I think its because since most of us had our true African ancestry erased by slavery, we don't know what our true names should be.





So...we just made some up.





Most don't really mean anything that we know of. My parents stuck me with one of those names, and I've considered having it legally changed.
Reply:Black Americans who don't choose to name their child with a white name (there is alot that do) end up picking names from African descent, or exotic names for example rather then Britney or Ashely they will pick names like Aniya, or Lael, or Nia, for etc








There are a bit of African Americans who tend to add on names to an existing name, or after merchandise, therefore making society view them as ghetto-fied, but overall a name is a name and it's your character that counts more...





We tend to live a society that judges heavily on names, and some names that seem ghetto to people I have actually looked up and their meanings are amazing such as , "rightly guided, child of God, peace maker.." we can't be close minded just because someone isn't a connor, or beth.
Reply:Its usually the ghetto kids that have those names, and all they do is butcher them, and put negativity in association with the names. So no person in their right minds would put that as their kid's first name. I'm pretty sure bosses look out for those names so they can toss them out before they can get the interview.
