Exotic boy/girl names?

I have the following choices, all are names with meanings in Sanskrit.

For a girl

Diya - meaning lamp

Meera - Poetess, devotee of God

For a boy

Aryan - Of a high race

Any other 2 syllable exotic name suggestions also welcome, but also share how you feel about these three names, thanks.

Exotic boy/girl names?
I like "Meera" and "Aryan" very much. Not so keen on the sound of "Diya" but that's all down to personal preference. Here are some other Sanskrit suggestions for you to bear in mind:

Girls:

Chakra - circle of energy

Devika - little goddess

Lilac - the colour

Sanya - born on Saturday

Boys:

Amrit - meaning nectar

Javas - meaning 'quick'

Taran - heaven

Tarun - youth
Reply:Aryan ... um, Hitler much? It was the Nazi term for the "master race." Don't go there.

Diya and Meera are okay, but do you actually have a personal link to such exotic names? I think a blonde girl called Diya just because might feel a bit out of place. There are lots of fabulous names with interesting meanings, but I think it's sensible to stay closer to your own history and experience.

As for Meera, again, if you're of Indian descent, I get it. Otherwise, I suspect the spelling Mira (a la Sorvino) is the better choice.
Reply:girls:

parvati- wife of Shiva, also is the goddess of fertility

Anmol- rare

Ratana- gemstone

boys:

Chirag- diva(lamp), heir, light

Durgam- invinsibel

Rudra- an epitome of Shiva
Reply:I don't like Aryan, mostly because of the Nazi connections (it's the word they used for people they considered genetically acceptable). The girls' names are nice.
Reply:I only like Aryan somehow.
Reply:i dont really like them
